Today's Setting Sun

Gorgeous sunset out there. No crows, though. And no bats. Something on the horizon?

Itch Stop

Even though bats swoop and dive for mosquitoes in the field behind our house, there are still a lot of mosquitoes in our garden. They find Little Brother and Papa tasty. Both use this on their bites. It takes the itch away. Mosquitoes rarely bite me and Big Sister.

Bats

Posted by Picasa

I've been watching the skies for bats on clear evenings. We've been haing lots of electrical storms lately. There aren't as many bats as there were last year. I think I say that every year.

I tried taking pictures from the street on Sunday evening. It was impossible! This evening I stood in the roof garden. They're too fast and I'm still too slow. I did get one, though. Can you find it? It's below the smudge (speck) and to the left.

Bat House

We think this is where the bats live. We'll go down at dusk someday to see. Click to enlarge.

Bat at Sunset

This isn't a very good picture, but bats are too fast! This picture was taken from the roof garden. So far there aren't as many bats as there were last year. Check last year's posts.

Roof Garden

Some people have roof gardens. This is our house at sunset. There is a spiral staircase with a light at the top. It leads to our roof garden. The staircase is outside our living room which is on the second floor. Baba and Aunt live downstairs on the first floor.

We enjoy sitting outside. There are too many mosquitoes down in the garden in the summer so it's nice we have a place up above to sit. For the past few days, we have been enjoying the sunset and watching the bats as they dip and dive for dinner. It was impossible to take a picture of them. I'll practice.
