First Broccoli of the Season

 

Cut, purchased and cooked today. Broccoli soup yum!

In the Morning Light

The leeks look blue.

So does the broccoli.

It looks like cauliflower, but it's broccoli. Broccoli left out on the stalk too long. Its florets are blooming.

It has been ready for a while. He cuts some every day but it sells out fast, so I've been buying it from the store down the street.
