Not Broccoli After All

The farmer wasn't transplanting broccoli in this post. It was cabbage!

This cabbage was grown by our vegetable stand man.

A Tokyo Cabbage Patch

These are Japanese cabbages. The head of the cabbages are pointed, not round. These are really big! See that chest in the background? It is big enough for an adult to sit on.

This is the first time I have seen cabbages tied like this.

Cabbage & Lily Root

These Chinese cabbages and vegetables were outside a grocery store. Look how big the cabbage is!

These are packages of lily root.

City Cabbage

Ornamental cabbage in someone's garden. These are for decoration. If you click on the picture you can see a pump next to the house.

This is a field of cabbage in our neighborhood. It is near the train station. Some of these will be sold at a vegetable stand. Most will be sold to shops.
