We have learned that if we put a bag of trash out on our front porch (just until we are leaving the house and can walk it out to the can) that the birds will get into it- but not if we hang it on the outside doorknob!
Annie, I am leaving Japan soon and heading to Texas for a long time. I will still enjoy reading your blog and remembering my second home country. Thanks for doing this.
