I write for children and adults. My work has been published in U.S. children's magazines and in anthologies published by Blooming Tree Press 2010 and ThingsAsian Press 2009. Two poems are forthcoming in an anthology for Patch for Peace. A YA short story set in Japan is in the July 2009 issue of HUNGER MOUNTAIN. I am a member of SCBWI and its Tokyo chapter.
For this blog, I write about and take pictures of the things we see, use, and do in our daily life in Japan. Big Sister and Little Brother used to go to Japanese public schools. Baba and Aunt live downstairs. Even though Papa is busy, busy, busy, he checks the blog every day. He checks my Japanese spelling. I used to teach English and reading in the United States, Malaysia, and Japan. I also studied in France.
****By the way, I screen all comments. I welcome them, but this blog is written especially for kids so please make them kid-friendly. Kids, please don't include your last name or the name of your hometown in your comments. Thanks.
