Kakizome

Little Brother had to do kakizome for school. He had to write a special message for the new year in calligraphy.

Here, he is preparing the ink.

The paper on the left is the sample that students were given. Each student in the fifth grade did this message. It says "kibou no asa". It means "Hope's Morning" in English.
